This unusual classic Sempervivum will add flare to your garden or specialty container. A classic hen and chicks variety, ‘Clairchin’ showcases closely formed rosettes of classic green foliage, heavily “cobwebbed” with fine hair-like filaments, giving the plant a ghost-like appearance. Peeking out June through August are red star-like flowers, which die out after blooming.
Sempervivums are happy in well-drained, gravelly soil. They are drought-tolerant plants that are wonderful in rock gardens, containers, vertical gardens, or as ground cover. Full sun to light shade.
